Uber And Brighton Collectibles Support Foundation 56 During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Uber-Brighton logosFormer Dallas Cowboy linebacker Bradie James today announced Foundation 56 will be the recipient of donations from two major international companies during Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

Uber, the international transportation network company, is partnering with Dallas Brew Scene to host the first-ever Uber Dallas Brew Crawl in celebration of breast cancer awareness on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from Noon to 5 p.m. Local breweries will participate to help raise awareness of and collect donations for Foundation 56.

Additionally, Brighton Collectibles at the Dallas Galleria has selected Foundation 56 as the recipient of donations from their annual Power of Pink campaign. Each year, as part of the campaign, Brighton debuts a new, custom-designed Power of Pink bracelet. Ten dollars of every bracelet purchased will be donated to Foundation 56.

“It’s an honor to have two such esteemed companies as Uber and Brighton select Foundation 56 as their partner this October in the support of breast cancer awareness,” James said. “The financial support from organizations like these makes a real, tangible difference in the lives of low-income women who have limited access to quality health care and are at a high risk for developing breast cancer.”

Bradie James’ Foundation 56 is a breast cancer outreach program dedicated to providing access to quality services and resources for breast cancer patients and survivors.

Foundation 56 is a tribute to Bradie’s mother, Etta James, who died from the disease in 2001. Bradie often says if there had been the types of services offered because of Foundation 56 his mother would still be alive.

The Foundation supports education, mammogram screenings, diagnostic testing and more.
